Welcome to the Association of Women Surgeons!
We aim to create a supportive community for people of all gender identities to feel safe discussing their experiences relating to the surgical field. Our focus is to connect students with current female leaders in the specialty through resident panels, keynote speakers, and recently matched MS4s. We plan to implement hands-on activities such as suture workshops and simulated surgeries to build an immersive experience for students. Above all, we strive to establish a source of long-term support for female surgeons and surgeons of all gender identities, in medical school and throughout their careers.
